At all levels in organisations leading change has become a vital part of a manager’s role. This course will provide you with tools, frameworks and ideas to help you to lead change initiatives effectively.
Course content
This 30 hours online course will offer a practical toolkit to anyone who needs to understand the holistic approach to planning, managing and implementing major organisational changes through people, within resource constraints and in context. Providing a framework within which organisational change can be successfully and rapidly achieved, the course will enable those closely involved in leading organisational change to analyse the context within which change occurs, plan appropriately and use change management techniques to overcome organisational barriers and resistance to change.
Focusing on a real change situation in your client organisation, during this course you will work at your own pace through study material that will help you to consider the context in which change occurs, plan major change initiatives, implement change programmes and consolidate change. A series of key activities throughout the course enable you to complete a final work-based task preparing for your own role in effective leadership of change, at whatever level in the organisation is appropriate.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Understand the context of change and the impact of the environment within which change happens
- Choose from a range of models providing a framework within which organisational change can be planned, implemented and consolidated
- Understand the barriers and sources of resistance to change and to identify ways in which these may be overcome
- Develop a personal action plan, which will enable you to take change forward within your organisation.
